On June 20, 2023. MAPSAT attended the Le Bourget International Aerospace Meeting (Paris) to present the MISENO project n the area dedicated to the Best Practices of the Campania Region promoted by the DAC (Campania Aerospace District).
On March 6, 2023. The European Space Agency has assigned MAPSAT the development of ASSISTANCE services IN THE DESIGN OF URBAN SPACES, based on Earth Observation data acquired from the new Italian IRIDE satellite constellation designed for Local Public Administration (PAL).
On April 23, 2022, PM3 project - acronym for modular multi-mission platform - was presented in Naples - at the Aerospace District of Campania (DAC). This project - that see Mapsat as one of the main Partner - involves the development of innovative enabling technologies for the construction of a micro-satellite. The technologies used will be useful to create of a dual-use system: on the one hand, in fact, this platform allows the provision of a hosting service in orbit of payloads of different nature and of different type; on the other hand, it allows to provide a dedicated validation and demonstration service in orbit of new technologies (IOD / IOV) (see mote at this link).
On March 31, 2022, the Ministry of Economic Development sent the funding decree for the MISENO project (“Multipurpose Ital-GovSatCom application Services for Emerging user Needs and Objectives” which focuses on the integration of Ital-GovSatCom services (geostationary satellite) and Earth Observation for the management of emergencies.
On February 17, 2022, the election of the new Steering Committee was held in the Rome, at ASAS office. Mapsat CEO Roberto Tartaglia Polcini was confirmed as a member of the Steering Committee.
